How Does a network printer to work?
I recently bought a router for the office building we have, and wants to offer an Office Network Printer for the people in it. I decided I want a printer to go with one that has been incorporated into the network, we should only add this printer via Cat 5e to router. My question (s), if we do that all teams would be able to see the printer (wired and wireless connected computers)? If we were to allow File and Printer Sharing on the computer? (We would like to avoid this for security reasons) Could you give the printer an interface to determine the number print pages, each team per day or month, etc, etc (to track and for free) get it? Other relevant information about printers or print servers would help, along with all the printers under $ 600, would you recommend.
I'll try to cover what best I can here: Basically, if all computers wired to the router (if you have enough ports for all computers you will receive a switch with enough ports to connect into the switch and wiring in the router) that all have individual access to the printer. Wireless computer requires a wireless router or point wireless access network have access to, and then have access to the printer too. Each team only has to print to have the printer driver is installed and the configuration of the IP address or host name for printing. Configurations would not share. Most printers will have no way require monitoring of the computer that sent or the number of pages each mail, so there is no way this title. However, there may be something bigger printers trade would do this for one of the passwords for accounts that are configured for each site user password for each account would be able to follow. Unfortunately I do not know what these printers, or makes, but present. There may be other options for equipment tracking page counts different I do not know of each hand. Print Servers are computers that basically any stretch of the printer to communicate about them from the other computers to print. In fact, not familiar with the settings, but you can do and requires more expertise and the computer as a simple router configuration. Good luck.
