XM Radio, how busy you do better?
Me and my girlfriend went to the last two weekends, Best Buy and saw a sale of about $ XM Radio 70 and comes with 3 months of free service. The device both have the Audiovox Xpress was XMCK-10A. I said for the first time since his car and all we had at the time, and enabled us and all, but the reception is static addict. We used a radio station local FM reception pretty clear all the time (unless you are sure that even issues) but we still have a bit of this STAIC on all channels. All the signal bars are showing is more or less all the time, but still a small amount of static electricity, enough so here it is in the songs, and everything is very annoying! What can we do to teach sound? I can also hard wire the power wire to the engine, so I can get rid of that look bulky cig adapter and do a clean installation? Assemble the drive on top of the dashboard, so that both the power cord and antenna cables hanging in front, which is ugly ..
Well first, the static is not due to a problem with the satellite signal. Recently, the FCC required the satellite radio companies severely mutilated modulators FM in their units. You can buy and install an FM direct adapter must (available at Best Buy to be where they bought radios). This basically shuts down the car's FM antenna when satellite radio is on. You can also connect your satellite radio in the car AUX input, if any. You can hardwire the power to the ignition. I'm not sure how to do this. What I did was an additional outlet 12V (Radio Shack that can be bought for around $ 10), connected to the fuse box of the car, then put the cable from the cigarette lighter satellite radio in it and hid it behind the dashboard so it is out of sight.
